BringMeTheHorizon

This is going to be a quick segment about Special K, and I'm not talking about the breakfast cereal. If you're not familiar with the drug, Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic developed for human and veterinary use. Beyond that, you can feel free to do some research.

Now for the reason of bringing up this topic today… Oli Sykes, vocalist of Bring Me The Horizon, recently owned up to his running Ketamine addiction while accepting an "Album of the Year" award (for "Sempiternal") at the Alternative Press Music Awards in Cleveland, Ohio. After a month in rehab, he managed to break the cycle.

The negative opinions of the metal community surrounding this individual / band are quite apparent. But it has to be said that it must've taken balls to admit this so publicly. It also brings the change of sound on their last album into focus. You can watch the footage of his admission through the official Alternative Press clip below.
