Set in motion back in 2005, The Restitution have been creating some interesting, real music. This Portland, Oregon progressive / post-metal band recently put out their debut “Waves” and hits hard in a number of ways. The music itself is well done, pulling together various elements on a layer of originality. There are some very interesting moments to be heard here.
As mentioned, this is a very real band. In a world full of auto-tune and bullshit, their sound is purposefully raw and filled with artistic intent. All in all, it makes for a good listening experience.
