And now for something awesome… Portal is a Blackened Death Metal band emerging from the depths of the abyss (aka Australia). This metal unit is dark, thematic, experimental, and visceral in their approach on heavy music. Going strong since 1994, they’ve managed to yield some truly incredible results.
A perfect example would have to be the band’s latest music video for the song “Curtain”. I have to say right off the bat, this is one of the best music videos I’ve seen all year. Dark and terrifying, it compliments the song is covers to an absolute point. Directed by Zev Deans, it may just give you nightmares. The song itself is a leveling, creative experience not for the faint of heart. Much like the rest of the album, “Vexovoid”, it’s worth checking out.
