2014 was a goddamn fantastic year for music. Rather than go into great detail as to why I chose these particular releases., I'm just going to give a one sentence description max for each band/album. Mostly I’ll just let the music speak for itself. Without further adieu, here are my top picks for 2014!
1. The Contortionist – Language
I guess you can say they really "Contorted" their sound and really matured as a band.
2. Slipknot- .5: The Gray Chapter
A lesson in how to come back with a vengeance.
3. Delusions of Grandeur – Reclamation
Like a space monster ripping off, then proceeding to eat your face.
4. Job For A Cowboy – Sun Eater
Deathcore veterans school everyone on how to successfully go progressive.
5. Trioscapes- Digital Dream Sequence
Abstract Progressive Jazz can be metal too.
6. Volumes- No Sleep

7. King 810 – Memoirs of a Murderer
What Korn basically should sound like in 2014
8. The Acacia Strain- Coma Witch
Just keep doing what you know best until people eventually start to like it.
9. Lorna Shore- Maleficium
No father, no center, no serenity, no way you won't love this EP
10. Boris The Blade – The Human Hive
Undless blastbeats for your face.
