As stated yesterday – It's no mystery that the Grammys have been steadily devolving into a joke for a long, long time now. Last year, multiple artists were snubbed and this year proved to be no different. It's an award show based more around an agenda than an actual ear for music.

Last year, they didn't even mention the passing of Grammy winning Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman during the memoriam segment. This year, the awards show completely neglected to pay tribute to the late Davie Brockie (Oderus Urungus from GWAR), Wayne Static (Static-X), and saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft among others. These are arguably some of the biggest musician losses from all of last year, making the lack of respect verge on disgraceful. It's not surprising but it certainly is upsetting.

On the brighter side of things, Mastodon treated the show like the joke it is. Brent Hinds even reportedly got kicked out as The Dillinger Escape Plan's Ben Weinman stated, ""Party Crasher in the house right before Brent Hinds gets kicked out of the awards show cause he pored his bag all over the floor and undies and money and weed spilled everywhere and he wouldn't pick it up. 'Sir you have to leave.' 'Why'? 'because you don't know how to behave!'" Good for a laugh or two.
