For those who didn’t hear, Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley had to leave the band’s recent tour for a family emergency. Basically his wife ran into serious health complications with her pregnancy with the couple’s daughter. His initial statement was this:

“Last night as I was preparing for my book release party at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto, I received an urgent call that my wife Lindsay – who was at the time only 7 months pregnant – had developed a rare and life threatening complication which required immediate removal of our child in order to save both her life and Lindsay’s. Andy Williams and our tech Kevin White raced me to the hospital in Buffalo where I saw sights that no man, father or husband should ever have to see. It is here that I now wait as their conditions stabilize. ETID has allowed me all the time I need in order to handle this extremely delicate situation but they will – with my blessing – continue the tour without me, enlisting the help of very close friends to handle vocal duties. I apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause and will do all I can to make it up to you. For the moment, however, all of my being is focused on the recovery of my lionhearted wife and my frail but beautiful new daughter. thank you for your understanding. give my bandmates my love when you see them.”

Now, a few weeks after this initial issue, it appears as if things have cleared up. Every Time I Die released the following statement over the weekend:

“We want to thank everyone for their understanding, support and patience with the unique situation that’s developed over the past 3 weeks. The well wishes online or at the shows has been overwhelming and felt by us, Keith and his family.

“We’re extremely happy to announce that things have finally stabilized back home for Keith, Lindsay and their newborn baby daughter and we can’t wait to meet her!

“With that being said, we’re also happy to announce and excited that Keith will rejoin us in Buffalo, NY for the 3 Xmas shows on Sunday and Monday.

“We’re forever in debt to Tyler from Exalt and Jason from Letlive for stepping up, filling in and keeping the tour rolling along. They did an incredible job and we could not have done it without them.

“Norfolk, Baltimore, Buffalo: see you this weekend. Everyone else, see you in 2016.”
