Obscura

MetalSucks just did the duty of dropping an all new Obscura track! It goes by the name of “The Monist”. Through this exhibition, the band does a great job of separating themselves from most of the Technical Death Metal pack while throwing in all sorts of clean ideas and, of course, showing great talent in the process. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it even feels like there’s a reference to “Velocity” from the album Omnivium in this track. Either way, you should have a listen down below!

Obscura are currently gearing up for the release of the new album “Akróasis” this year! More specifically, this beast will see the light of day on February 5th through the mighty Relapse Records. You can learn much more about the specifics behind this, including a tracklisting and album preview by CLICKING HERE.

Also, here’s a brief snippet of the statement that came with the release.

Progressive/technical death metal masterminds Obscura have revealed a third new track from their highly anticipated forthcoming full-length Akroasis. “The Monist” has premiered via MetalSucks.net, and can be streamed here.
