It has been a few months since the fatal bus / semi crash experienced by The Ghost Inside. And following the initial reports from that time and the critical conditions sustained by the musicians, we only came to know the true extent of the band’s injuries towards the beginning of this year. To put it simply, the injuries are very bad. But on the bright side, the band seems to be hopeful and optimistic in their recovery.

A perfect example of this optimism would be the band’s Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk. Having lost a leg in the crash, he’s been working hard towards recovery through rigorous PT and a heart full of hope. He fully intends to continue playing drums in the future. If that’s not inspiring, I’m not sure what is.

Better yet, here’s a video of his first time back behind the kit following the incident. It came with the following caption, “Today was a huge baby step. I sat behind a drum kit for the first time since the accident, and it felt incredible. EVERY encouraging word and support from you all has gotten me to this point. I may not reply to every single person, but I’ve read EVERY single message/comment etc. from every single one of you. Thank you all so much for being on my side on this journey, it means more than words can describe. Also couldn’t have done this without my TGI family and friends. Also my amazing sponsors at @sjcdrums @zildjiancompany And @vicfirth You’re fuel to my fire, now watch me burn.”
