HalcyonDays

Here we have an excellent Melodic Hardcore unit stemming from Oslo, Norway. Functioning as a five-piece band, the Halcyon Days style is both hard hitting and uplifting while simultaneously not shying away from the darker side of human nature. This isn’t merely music. It’s an experience that allows them to stand toe-to-toe with some of the heavy hitters in their sub-genre. In fact, it would be easy to recommend this band for fans of Being As An Ocean, Defeater, Burning Down Alaska, and the like.

This month, Halcyon Days released their self-titled EP effort as a follow up and arguably as a separation their 2014 album “.ELEVATE”. Where their previous effort had more of a modern djent / progressive metalcore approach, this album is much more focused on the angle of melodic hardcore and post-hardcore (in it’s actual sense). What we end up with is a superb four track effort taking this band in a new and exciting direction.

To support the latest from Halcyon Days, we’ve teamed up with the band to deliver a full EP stream of their self-titled effort. You can listen to this musical collection in it’s entirety just below. Furthermore, if you enjoy what you hear, you can add it to your collection via Bandcamp (among many other online music retailers). Show some love!
