Wastelands

Wastelands are certainly a band to keep tabs on. They combine some of the best elements between Hardcore and Metalcore with a melodic approach to create their particular brand of music. Emotions run high and the instrumentation hits hard as they produce a sound that allows them to musically stand alongside contemporaries in their field. In fact, they could easily be recommended to fans of bands like Counterparts, Hundredth, and Defeater while maintaining an approach of their own. Hats off to this five-piece Québec unit.

Having formed last year, Wastelands put their mark on the map this year with the release of their debut EP “The Hardest Path, The Greatest Landscape”. Packing in four tracks, this record serves as a ~15 minute punch and a great introduction. Considering this is only the beginning, it should be interesting to see what Wastelands do moving forward as well. The EP is currently available for a “name your price” download over on Bandcamp. You really can’t beat a deal like that.

Upon listening, we reached out to the band to further spread the music which brings us here today.
