The amount of hate Suicide Silence is receiving for their new album is somewhat staggering. The band’s self-titled album is their first effort to feature clean singing and new direction. The backlash really started with the release of their single “Doris”. As of right now, the track stands with 16,188 likes and 29,046 dislikes on the 360° music video over on YouTube.

Beyond clicking buttons and leaving comments, fans have been reacting in a number of other ways as well. A good example comes from one man metal band metalmax. He took “Doris” and made what he has dubbed as a “DEATHCORE VERSION Cover”.

You can find both this cover and the original music video itself down below. The LP was released on February 24, 2017 through Nuclear Blast Records. The effort was recorded earlier this year with none other than producer Ross Robinson (Slipknot, Korn).
