You have to respect artists that purely make music for the love of music. Iapetus are a wonderful, highly talented two man band hailing from none other than Long Island, New York. They write large scale, beautiful music that could be cast as a cross between Melodic Death Metal and Progressive Metal with no shortage of twists between. They also don’t shy away from elaboration with their latest album “The Long Road Home” clocking in at over an hour and fifteen minutes! Between it’s 9 tracks, it’s not uncommon to see numbers above ten minutes per. In a word – epic.
