Anas Ibn Malek Abid is an insanely skilled and high functioning solo artist hailing from the beautiful city of Toulouse, France. His craft comes down to mixing elements of Maghrebian and Arabian music directly into a Modern Metal / Prog sound! As you may imagine, this results in some very interesting musical compositions! This solid musical identity mixed with a lot of practice and output arguably places Anas Ibn Malek Abid among the most exciting artists in the modern progressive underground!

He has a 2018 release by the name of “Trapped In The Void”! This is comprised of 4 solid tracks ranging up to almost 10 minutes in length including a symphony at the end. Anas himself has given an in-depth look into the album with the following statement over on Bandcamp:

“Trapped In The Void” is my latest instrumental solo effort , that takes the best of my former solo releases.
A Journey Through The Void was firstly released on my second solo album “Delusional Thoughts” but i decided to re arranged it and play new drums from scratch and fix the production, for a better sonic experience and modern sound.

On the other hand, “Trapped In The void” is a very old song that i had firstly composed in the summer 2011 on my six strings Ibanez guitar at that time, and then wrapped up the actual version when i first got my first seven strings guitar ever, years after (2014).

Listening back and fourth to the pre-production version of both, i realized that they form a one and only musical piece with their own identity, which is my “signature”, therefore my choice to release them into a full EP.

As for “Drowning in the Burning Sands”, i always have some material left off of previous work, and this time i just wanted to give it to you as a bonus track.
