DOOM was arguably one of the most popular videogames to come out in recent history and it was metal as fuck. Using a 9 string guitar with many other odds and ends, the soundtrack plays out like an industrial infused Meshuggah / modern djent type record.

The music for DOOM was written by the man Mick Gordon, who was also responsible for the soundtracks for Wolfenstein & Killer Instinct. It’s also worth noting that Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah wrote a track for the last Wolfenstein game which you can check out by CLICKING HERE.

DOOM in particular won the Best Music & Sound Design award at The Game Awards 2016. As such, there was an awesome performance including Periphery drummer Matt Halpern. That can be viewed by CLICKING HERE.

Now, given all of this, the soundtrack might just deserve an awesome physical release, right? Right! The DOOM soundtrack will be receiving a vinyl box set release this July via Laced Records! Pre-orders are now available to those who CLICK HERE.
