“After the complete dumpster fire that was 2020, Shrine to Sorrow is a sort of catharsis for us. This is us getting back to having fun writing music. We actually recorded everything ourselves and had Joe Johnson mix and master the song, so that gave us a lot of freedom. Lyrically it serves as a sort of outlet for a lot of the depression and general negativity I’ve built up over the years.”
