Only The Strong is a band raising out of Arkansas with a good bit of promise on their shoulders. Their music has proven to be heavy and dynamic, being able to switch between crushing and soothing sections without a hitch. Stylistically, their sound combines elements of Djent, Mathcore, and Progressive Metal with ambience and some Metalcore elements thrown between.
This is evinced in full through the band’s debut EP, appropriately titled “Origins”. It’s a record telling the story of the rise and fall of mankind. This narrative is brought across through various soundscapes and ideals. It’s fully worth the listen.
