When it came time to release an EP I had been working on, I initially reached out to a channel that previously helped release my debut album. The attention my music got from that channel was great and I was super excited about releasing more music to that audience. However, I was having issues with the individual I was working with to the point that I was pushing back releasing the music. Where previously the individual would get back to me within a few days, I was now left waiting a week to hear anything back. In the end, the channel didn’t want to host my music due to some mature content in my music video. This absolutely sucked not only because of how much work went into the music and video (which was all self shot), but because I was now left without an outlet to release my music. It felt like starting over again with finding an audience.
This is where The Circle Pit came in. After reaching out over Facebook, I had a reply within a day explaining their release options as well as some additional services they provide. I explained the situation I was in and was relieved to hear that TCP would do their best to make the release happen despite my struggles with the previous channel. A release date was set and I was able to compile all of my art, music, and video files into a simple Google Drive to send. Even though I was worried about releasing music to a new audience, the video actually surpassed my original album in views and overall reach. TCP got snippets of the release on other social media platforms as well and gave it the best chance at being heard. The views translated over to my Spotify and Bandcamp as I saw a large spike in listeners on both.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the communication and services that were provided by TCP. I was very grateful to have my music released on this platform and would highly recommend others to work with them as well.
