In an excellent, recent interview with Rick Beato, Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor opened up about financial struggles in relation to Periphery in a realistic glimpse and break down of their position in the modern music industry. Simply put, they make no money as a band in itself and have to find income elsewhere to continue doing what they love.

That being the case, he goes on to speak about how he actually does make money and stresses that musicians diversify and strive for other forms of receiving payment and lanes of passive income to support themselves.

This is a realistic look to the other side of “success” in this industry that so many individuals view through incorrect shades and delusions of grandeur. Good on Misha for speaking on this so candidly to enlighten others and good on Rick Beato for asking the right questions to make this happen.
