This is one of my favorite discoveries in recent history. The Night Flight Orchestra is a 70s / 80s style classic rock band featuring none other than Soilwork’s Björn Strid and David Andersson along with Arch Enemy’s Sharlee D’ Angelo, Von Benzo keyboardist Richard Larsson, Mean Streak drummer Jonas Källsbäck, and percussionist Sebastian Forslund. I highly recommend their entire discography if you enjoy. This is some quality music with a fun, cheesy edge that might just leave a stupid grin on your face!
If you like any or all of the above, chances are you’ll enjoy their collective output. Following their initial formation back in 2007, the band has put out a total of three albums! Now, they’re about to put out an all new, fourth album by the name of “Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough”! This will strike on June 29th through Nuclear Blast! Pre-orders are now available to those who CLICK HERE.
In support, they just launched a new music video with some sweet animation! This was done for the new track “Lovers In The Rain” and can be viewed right here:
Here’s the official statement in regards to the new music video:
“‘Lovers In The Rain‘ is the soundtrack of the way it felt when you held the hand of your first true love for the first time. Happiness so intense, your heart beating so fast that it almost feels like a panic attack. And in the back of your head, you’re already mourning the fact that one day it will all be over. But during those first trembling moments, you know that nothing will ever be the same again. From now on, you will always compare every life experience to these first magic moments.
‘Lovers In The Rain‘ is an homage to the anthems of our youth, the songs that made us believe that in every life; no matter how insignificant you might feel sometimes, you will someday have that experience with someone. Hopefully with The Night Flight Orchestra playing in the background. And believe us, we’ve all been there.
This song, like the whole new album, is about those moments when you transcend reality and might for one fleeting moment catch a glimpse of the otherworldly. It’s for each and every one of you, with love from The Night Flight Orchestra, remembering everyone we’ve ever loved and lost.”
