And the first selection from said solo record has reached it’s first ears. “Materialize” is great venture for this upcoming artist. While very reminiscent of his influences, the song manages to paint breathtaking moments in it’s 5-minute duration. Shifting paradigms between Progressive Metal riffs and tasteful passages, Johnny shows a number of good ideas. But his absolute best comes out in those tasteful, melodic passages I just mentioned. If they’re any indication of this young man’s potential, things are looking good.
